Closing!

Last Thursday was the closing of the house, as I'm sure anyone who has ever met me is aware since I practically had t-shirts printed that said "Today is my house closing". It went fairly smoothly. Mark and I visited the house after the signing and spent quite a while there chatting with the seller Miss Elsa and her daughter Diana. We bought three lamps from their garage sale stash, and I have some interesting ideas for replacing their shades. I just need to find somewhere that sells shades for cheap cheap. It seems that we may be able to get into the house before August 1st, which is amazing. The only problem is that I'll be in Destin for Alex's bachelorette weekend from Thursday to Sunday. Mark thinks he'll be able to clean up the house and paint during that time, but I'm being a little girl about the whole thing because I really wanted to paint some of the house! On the subject of painting, the color I picked for the dining room is named "Invitation to a Princess". How scary is that on a scale of 1-10?
