Jeez Louise! The last week has been a bit crazy. Last weekend was a packing bonanza. I got most of it done with the help of my friends Cathy, Lica, Robyn, and my mom. Mark helped a bit too, but he was mostly working on the house, ripping down stubborn wallpaper. We officially moved in on Monday, but we had to go back to Metairie multiple times to get more and more stuff. It's really amazing how much of the house has been filled by the contents of our 900 sq ft apartment. We packed in the stuff!
While we've been unpacking (slowly, slowly), we've been painting up a storm. Before we painted though, we (ahem, Mark) had to texturize the walls, which took days. So, really we've only been painting for the last few days, but we are definitely adhering to our "No White Walls" name. You could say that Mark and I are not afraid of color...bright color...obnoxious color. We are really pleased with how it's turning out. I especially like the dining room, which we painted fuchsia. In fact, it's painted with a Disney color called "Invitation for a Princess" so you know it's bright. I can't wait to work on my wall decor for the room. Here are a few pics of it before and during:
